Schedule a Visit
Due to safety reasons and the need to protect the telescopes from dust generated by vehicles, access to the H.E.S.S. site is restricted. Visitors need to arrange their visit in advance and be accompanied by an authorized guide. Options to visit the site and get a tour of the telescopes include:
Visits by school/university classes
Tours of the H.E.S.S. site can be arranged at any time, provided that there is no conflict with observations or work on site. Access to the site and a tour of the telescopes and the control room is free. Visitors are asked to arrange their own transport.
Specially arranged tours for individuals and groups
Provided that there is no conflict with observations or work on site, special tours of the site can usually be arranged.
